Tell Governor Bill Lee, Lieutenant Gov Randy McNally, and TN Senators and Representatives: No immunity for pesticide manufacturers!
Bayer-Monsanto and the corporate poison pushers have again reared their unethical heads in Tennessee.
HB0809/SB0527, Tennessee’s “Bayer-Monsanto Protection Act on Steroids” is once again being considered by the TN legislature. The bills, sponsored by Representative Rusty Grills (R-Newbern-District 77) and Senator John Stevens (R-Huntingdon-District 24), would give pesticide corporations immunity from lawsuits within the state when their products cause harm.
The House Judiciary Committee will hear the proposed bill on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
In 2025, the pesticide-harm immunity bill was deferred due to overwhelming public pushback. All Tennesseans must step again. We must act now to stop this affront to our rights and health.
Send an email to Governor Bill Lee, Lieutenant Governor Randy McNally, and your Senators and Representatives. Make them understand that this behavior is not tolerable. They must not allow HB0809/SB0527 to move forward. Let them know that you are watching and will vote them out of office if they choose foreign pesticide corporations over the People of Tennessee.
