Bayer-Monsanto and the corporate poison pushers have again reared their unethical heads in Tennessee.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HB0809\/SB0527<\/a>, Tennessee\u2019s \u201cBayer-Monsanto Protection Act on Steroids\u201d is once again being considered by the TN legislature. The bills, sponsored by Representative Rusty Grills (R-Newbern-District 77) and Senator John Stevens (R-Huntingdon-District 24), would give pesticide corporations immunity from lawsuits within the state when their products cause harm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The House Judiciary Committee will hear the proposed bill on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, the pesticide-harm immunity bill was deferred due to overwhelming public pushback. All Tennesseans must step again. We must act now to stop this affront to our rights and health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Send an email to Governor Bill Lee, Lieutenant Governor Randy McNally, and your Senators and Representatives. Make them understand that this behavior is not tolerable. They must not allow HB0809\/SB0527 to move forward. Let them know that you are watching and will vote them out of office if they choose foreign pesticide corporations over the People of Tennessee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
