I hope REI will also stop selling ski wax that contains these toxic chemicals!

It’s time to put corporate greed last and the people of America first again . There’s no such thing as a toxin being harmless as it’s just the opposite which in a short time will kill adults as well as children and animals too while destroying our environment and drinking water.

Kathleen, manufacturers aren’t transparent about which products contain PFAS and which do not, and are not obligated by law to let consumers know. Having said that, it can be assumed that any textile/clothing products that are advertised as “stain-resistant”, “waterproof” or “water-repellent” would contain PFAS chemicals. Also, any nonstick cookware using Teflon would contain PFAS chemicals. Nonstick cookware that advertises “PFOA-free” or “PFOS-free” likely still contains some other type of PFAS chemical. “PFOA-free” or “PFOS-free” claims made on nonstick cookware are greenwashing.
